Spring has Sprung!

What a beautiful day!  We just had to take full advantage of the sunshine and mild temps and get out and play!

Work before play... first we gathered sticks,
and collected stones.
We might need to practice our shoveling technique.
Time to mow the lawn.
Such a good helper.
Work is done.  Time to play!
Sliding is so much fun!
Bubbles!
Getting better at blowing!
An expert at dipping.
Walker LOVES bubbles...

and banging rocks together!
Time to decorate the sidewalk.
Such concentration.
Admiring his masterpiece
I think we need to work on our form.
Such a cute little slugger.
Always on the go.
He LOVES taking walks in his car.
It was wonderful being outside in the fresh air and sunshine.  Walker is so happy when he can run and play outdoors.  I am looking forward to more days like today.  I can't wait to take him to the zoo, the park, the pool.  He was so young last year.  He doesn't remember seeing the animals or feeling the wind in his face on the swing.  All of his experiences this summer will be brand new, and I am so looking forward to watching and capturing these sweet moments.  My favorite part of toddlers is their curiosity and fearlessness- and Walker has a TON of both!

Under the Sea

Back in January, Ryan and I decided to take advantage of a rare weekend together and took Walker on a day trip to visit the Newport Aquarium in Cincinnati.

The view is always better from Daddy's shoulders
Not to sure about the sharks
Big fish!
Shark!
Climbing on the "Hawkeye" frog
Walker made a friend!
Catch of the day!
Weigh in!
Making more friends
or not....
We had a great time!

18 Months Old!

Well, so far I have not been very good at keeping up on the blog.  I have good intentions, but I always seem to run out of hours in the day! I also hate to admit that I haven't been taking as many pictures this year.  It's much harder taking pictures of a busy toddler than it was a chubby baby!  Here are some highlights of 2014 so far.

It has been a cold and snowy winter.  We took advantage of the first big snowfall in January to get some super cute pictures of Walker in the snow.  He had a hard time walking in his snow pants and boots at first, but got the hang of it pretty quickly.  He liked watching the neighbor blow the snow, and was a huge help to Daddy.

This weekend, Walker had his first play date with Harrison.  Harrison's mom and I are good friends from college.  I am pretty sure this is the first baby that Walker has ever "met."  He loved all the little noises that Harrison made and was very gentle with him.  He really had a great time "playing" with his new friend.

It has been a pretty uneventful 2014, but hopefully once the weather improves, we will get out and get some good photos of our wonderful and active little boy.  He is growing and changing everyday.  I can't believe he has been in our lives for 18 months already.  He brings Ryan and me endless joy.  I thank God everyday for blessing our family with such a wonderfully sweet, smart, funny and beautiful little man.
