Vacation in South Haven

Last weekend, we took a weekend trip to South Haven Michigan.  It is a beautiful little vacation spot just 3 and a half hours north of Indy.  We headed up early Saturday morning and hit the beach as soon as we could.

"Duck!"
Walker loved chasing the sea gulls.
Check out the cool pirate ship!

We walked around town and took in the sights.  We stopped at a little pizza place for dinner and then headed back to the hotel for a quick dip in the pool before putting Walker to bed.

On Day 2, we got up early and headed back to the beach for a morning full of fun in the sun!

We took Walker down to the water and it was love at first sight.  Our little water baby was right at home on the beach.

The water, though chilly, was the perfect depth for little waders.

Nothing better than eating a hot dog out of a frisbee on the beach!

After a long morning at the beach, we headed back to the hotel so Walker could take a nap.  Ryan and I hit the town while my mother stayed in the hotel with Walker.  We wondered into the 12 Corners tasting room and sampled some of the delicious Michigan wines. We then hit a few shops and headed back to our room.

We went to Clementine's for dinner that night.  The food was great- definitely worth the wait.  Unfortunately, Walker didn't think so and had a mini meltdown halfway through our meal.

I heard about a playground close by, so we decided to check it out.  It was super busy and full of older kids playing tag, so we didn't stay too long.

The next morning was our last day, so we packed up or stuff, checked out of our hotel and headed to town for breakfast at Captain Nemo's. I loved the "hole in the wall" feel of the place, and the biscuits and gravy were fantastic!

After breakfast, we headed back to the beach for one last time.

A little after noon, we packed up and hit the road.
We all had a wonderful time and we are already looking forward to going back next summer.
