Playing Catch Up- May

I knew it had been a while since my last post, but I didn't realize it had been  months!  To make this a little less overwhelming, I am going to play catch up in two posts- April and May.

Walker is now 9 months and one week old.  He is crawling and pulling himself up on everything!  He is still chattering and his current favorite noises are blowing raspberries and growling.  He loves to say "dada" and "ba ba".  I am still waiting, ever so patiently, to hear Mama.  The child will eat pretty much anything you put in front of him, but if it were up to him, his diet would consist solely of Greek yogurt and puffs.  We have been letting him taste most foods.  I am still staying away from berries, nuts and most meats, though he does like chicken.

School is still going well.  His face lights up every morning when we walk into his classroom.  He loves seeing his friends and teachers.  Ryan is still staying home with him every Wednesday and Friday.  Both Mommy and Walker love it when he stays home with Dad... I think Dad likes his male bonding days also.

Life has been busy lately.  Ryan is playing Softball on Wednesday nights, but we haven't been able to make it to a game because they all have started after Walker's bedtime.  This week is an early game, so I am very excited for Walker to go watch Daddy play ball.

Walker and I have recently joined a play group at our church.  We meet the first Saturday of the month.  It is so nice getting out of the house and talking to people my age doing the same things we are doing.  I really enjoy going, and hopefully Walker is making some life-long friends.

I celebrated my first official Mother's Day last month.  Walker and Ryan picked out a beautiful hanging basket at a local market.  Unfortunately, Ryan had to work, but my mother and grandmother came over for breakfast after church.

Below are just a few (okay quite a few) pics from May.

Playing Catch Up- April

I knew it had been a while since my last post, but I didn't realize it had been  months!  To make this a little less overwhelming, I am going to play catch up in two posts- April and May.

We took a trip to Iowa in the beginning of April.  It had been almost 6 months since Walker had seen his Iowa family, so we loaded up our new van and headed west.
